Cercrete is not a direct drop-in replacement for Portland cement in all applications. It is specifically engineered for high-performance applications where traditional cement systems underperform, including:

- Chemical and acid resistance requirements
- Fire and extreme heat resistance
- Marine and aggressive environmental exposure
- Blast and ballistic protection
- Applications requiring exceptional durability
For standard construction applications where OPC performs adequately, traditional cement may be more cost-effective.
